Jesus the Great Teacher --Lessons Learned!

I don't know of anyone who really liked takingtests in school if you did there is somethingseriously wrong with you. It just seemed asthough some breezed through while people likemyself always struggled. Life is not fair!!!! Somecall it tests anxiety. I think I just concentratedon trying not to get the answer wrong instead ofrelaxing and allowing my brain to find the answerin my head. Most times the next day I could dobetter because of no pressure. Second golf shotsare like that too! So when I received my testscores back all I noticed were the red marks anddisappointments instead of how many right answersI had out of one hundred. Having said that, perfect test scores were few and far between formost of us I think.

Life at times gives us impromptu tests that at thetime we think we have fail in our minds. In otherwords, when all said and done our nature is tofocus on what we did wrong and our imperfectionsand not the opportunity for growth that is infront of us. Life is not about perfect papers it'sabout learning from the red marks. Yet, in mostexperiences lessons can be learned from thosemoments.

Jesus was a great teacher. In the bible there arethirty-nine parables in which Jesus teaches usthrough life lessons. Jesus teaches this way fortwo reasons: one, he brings in life experiencesthat we all can relate to at different times inour lives. Two, each parable has a much largermeaning about life that may apply in numerous waysto your own life for years to come. One thing topoint out is in each parable it is not so much thebeginning of the story but the end that is mostimportant. The accent falls on the last personthat is mentioned, the last deed, or the lastsaying. The so-called end stress in the parable isa deliberate design in its composition. Jesus ineach parable in different ways teaches us thatlife is not about seeing how perfect one canbecome, but becoming better people in the midst ofour imperfections.

There maybe times when we disappoint ourselves orespecially others that we love, but remember noneof us are perfect only Jesus is. Yet it is inthose disappointments that the lessons learned candraw us closer to Christ and those we love. It'sthe great teachers in life that teach us how tofish, rather than counting the ones that get away.

Remember this week, life, you, others maydisappoint or you may experience Joy andhappiness, which ever it is in those times countit lessons to be learned.
