Memories Didnt Happen

Have you ever experienced a traumatic event? I'm sure the answer to that question is an unequivocal yes as it appears to be embedded in the nature of the reality that we exist in.

So having said that, if I ask you to focus on a particular memory of a traumatic event that you may have experienced, I think you will, without a doubt say that "it happened". That is, the event you are currently recalling happened to you.

In other words, if I were to suggest to you that it "didn't actually happen" to you, you would likely think me to be either obstreperous, crazy or both.

In my experience working with individuals with a new process called the Mind Resonance Process(TM)(MRP) it has been my personal experience and those of my clients that after releasing a traumatic memory from one's consciousness, body and energy field the event no longer feels as if it happened to the individual.

Now I must qualify this by saying that this is not an experience similar to that experienced through the use of trauma therapies such as Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Emotional Freedom Techniques(TM) (EFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and others like them. With these therapies the idea that the event happened is never in question and therefore never actually addressed directly.

What is often experienced by the client in such therapies is an emotional dampening of the negative emotions connected with the memory. The memory however remains intact, even if sometimes in modified form. In other words, the client, if asked, will always say with certainty: "yes the event did happen to me".

With MRP the client however will say: "the event doesn't feel like it happened to me", "the memory is no longer inside me" and more strikingly "the memory was never inside me"! This has been my repeated experience with clients who have experienced MRP over the last 10 years.

How is it possible to explain such seemingly bizarre phenomena?Well if we look at this from an Energy Psychology point of view, it is clear that we as human beings have around us and within us an energy field that informs our consciousness and the functioning of our physiological bodies at every moment.

Our life experience, which is really just a series of juxtaposed memories of events, much like a movie (except with many more tracks than just sight and sound) is stored in the human bio-field as energy imprints of those life experiences in a complex but ordered way. So whenever we recall a particular memory, what we are doing is accessing the information in the bio-field and transducing it into thought in our minds/brains.

Now each memory has embedded with it not only the information about the "content" of the event i.e. "what happened", "how it felt", "how it looked" etc., but also information about the "process" of the event i.e. "when it happened" and "it happened".

All of this however is energetic information stored in the bio-field as "energy" imprints or patterns. We can through the various therapies mentioned above change the content of the memory but never consider that we can do the same with the process of the memory. MRP appears to illustrate the ability to affect "both".

The effects experienced by the clients when content and process are addressed together, is a remarkable shift in one's level of well-being. The result appears to go beyond just helping the client heal from the trauma. Instead there appears to be a spiritual reawakening that occurs that is associated with feelings of: lightness, buoyancy, joy, freedom, a feeling of energy coursing through one's body, resilience, confidence, self esteem and most importantly an awareness that what we call our life experience, ourselves (i.e. us as our personality) or our reality is not the truth.

I know this may sound difficult to understand or accept without having had the experience yourself at least once. I can accept this, as I know how skeptical I once was.
